The Jackson, Mississippi, Clarion-Ledger has reported the indictment of Edgar Ray Killen and others in the slaying of three “Freedom Summer” volunteers–James Chaney, Michael Schwerner, and Andrew Goodman. Seven other suspects are still alive and are under investigation.
