Republican National Chairman Ken Mehlman recently spoke at Virginia State University, and is scheduled to speak at Howard as part of a GOP outreach offensive.

Terri Schiavo died this morning 13 days after she was disconnected from her food and water supply. RIP to her and sympathies to her family.

Johnnie Cochran, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, will probably be best known for his successful defense of O.J. Simpson and the lasting quote: “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.” Cochran died yesterday of an inoperable brain tumor in his home in Los Angeles.
