The Washington Post is reporting that the NAACP has approached Tavis Smiley about heading up the organization. Smiley says that he will meet with the organization.
Does Smiley have the managerial skills to turn the NAACP around? Is he being considered just because of his name?

Newsweek recently ran a cover story about The New Face of AIDS: Black Women. The article paints a devastating picture of AIDS in America. Particularly, the article focuses on the dramatic increase of HIV and AIDS in black women. So it got me to thinking–how are all of these black women contracting this horrible disease? [...]
