"Queen Bee" Convicted of Perjury

“Rap diva Lil’ Kim was convicted Thursday of lying to a federal grand jury to protect friends involved in a shootout outside a radio station. Lil’ Kim and her assistant were both convicted of perjury and conspiracy but acquitted of obstruction of justice. They each face up to 20 years in prison; sentencing was set for June 24.”

TheStateOf: Well, we guess Lil’ Kim isn’t the Mafia “Teflon Don” we thought she was, because now she’s looking at 20 years in prison. The part that stinks for her is that she lied for someone that she later fell out with. We think her defense was nonsense from the start. She claimed “not to have noticed” that she was with Damion Butler, a close friend, when Butler opened the door for her to enter the studio where the shooting occurred. Her lawyers would have done better to say that she was intimdated or coerced into perjury (even if that wasn’t true). Interestly, Junior Mafia compadre Lil’ Cease testified against her. That’s what you call a stool pigeon.
