Singer, songwriter, soulman D’Angelo (nee Michael Eugene Archer) plead guilty earlier this week to marijuana possession and driving under the influence from a traffic stop on January 9 of this year. He was fined $300, received a 100-day suspended jail sentence, and revoked his driver’s license for 18 months.
This is the latest run in with the law for D’angelo. In November 2002, he was arrested for aggressive driving, assault, curse and abuse (apparently the former is illegal in Virginia?), and disorderly conduct. This stemmed from an incident with a woman he followed to a gas station after a traffic incident and proceeded to yell and scream at her.
TheStateOf . . . D’Angelo makes me worried. The good news is since he lost his license that means he can spend more time in the studio making the next masterpiece!
