In Baltimore, D.C., and Philadelphia, may young people have been buying “Stop Snitchin’” t-shirts. Some of the shirts feature Ray Liotta on the witness stand in the movie Goodfellas. Over his picture is “Stop Snitchin’.” Others have cross-hairs surrounding the words as seen above. On the back of many of these shirts is “RIP” (Rest in Peace). In Philadelphia, many have complained to the store owners about the shirts and they have been removed. They are also cracking down on them in Baltimore.
These shirts have an overall message of intimidating witnesses and are doing a great disservice to our communities. Do not buy these shirts and voice your concern to the owners of the stores who sell them.
