Kanye Part III: "Where’s Kanye West’s Anger Over Blacks Who Don’t Care About Blacks?"

By George Kane:
“Does Kanye West have any inkling of how important President George W. Bush is to the mental health of some black Americans? That would be those blacks who are determined to be forever in victim mode. West is apparently one of them, which is probably why he blurted out his now controversial “President Bush doesn’t care about black people” spiel during a telethon to raise money for victims of the Hurricane Katrina disaster.”

TheStateOf…Kanye. Let’s put aside the fact that Kanye is the most overrated rapper this decade, and the fact that he wears pink polos with the collar flipped up. That’s just not cool. I bet he didn’t think he’d stir up this much drama when he made his comments. Or maybe he did? He has placed himself squarely in the crosshairs of the American media: left, right & center. I’m not sure what he said was helpful, or even true. On the other hand, in the context of Katrina, he raised an issue that many were thinking but did not or could not express. George Kane is usually wrong. Here, I get the point, and I agree with it in priciple; it’s just a little harsh, and directed towards his white, right-wing audience.
