Nas Signs With Def Jam; Shaq and Kobe Make Peace On King Day; President Bush Declares World Peace

“The rap superstars Jay-Z and Nas, who hurled bitter insults at each other in rhyme for years in one of rap’s most prominent feuds, have reached a deal that would formalize their much-publicized recent truce and transform the two onetime foes into business partners, according to music industry executives involved in the arrangement.” (NY Times)
“As a result of the deal, Nas’s next album instantly becomes one of hip-hop’s most anticipated recordings of the year. It is expected to include the first significant collaboration between two wordsmiths who long battled each other for the title of New York’s best rapper.”

TheStateOf. . .Nas & Jay-Z. I’ve always been a Nas man, myself. I’m glad these two didn’t continue the “beef.”

“As the teams stretched during warm-ups, O’Neal reached down to Bryant, who was being stretched by a Lakers trainer, and extended his hand. It was O’Neal’s first public acknowledgement of Bryant since the center left the Lakers in the 2004 offseason.”

TheStateOf . . .Shaq & Kobe. Glad to see these two clowns bury the hatchet. I’ll give props to Shaq for approaching Kobe, cuz if a somebody snitched on me the way Kobe did Shaq, it would take me a long time to get over it.
