USC May Forfeit 2005 Conference Title!

(Justin, I hope you’re sitting down as you read this.)
The PAC-10 is investigating allegations that Reggie Bush’s family lived in a house paid for by a man trying to market Bush as a professional. If the PAC -10 find out that the house was an improper benefit, the men of Troy may have to forfeit games, including their 2005 conference title.

Records showed that Michael Michaels bought the house for $757,000 in March 2005. Yahoo.com quoted neighbors saying that Bush’s mother, Denise Griffin, stepfather, LaMar Griffin, and brother, Jovan Griffin, moved into the home shortly thereafter.

The Bush family claims that they did nothing wrong and Justin stand by them. They even moved out of the house this weekend when questions arose. No harm, no foul, right? Nope. If they did not pay fair market value for the house, then it would be considered an extra benefit and in violation of NCAA rules.

I’m sure The State Of . . . the Men of Troy will not be dragged down by the scandal too much. In a few months, Bush can buy each of his family members a new McMansion and repay the USC if he wanted to. I just hope die hard fans like Justin will be ok.

(Don’t worry people. Justin will have ample opportunity to razz me when the Tennessee Volunteers choke by losing to Florida or South Carolina later this year.)
