The State Of . . . George Bush’s view of foreign policy is overly simplistic. His infamous curse of Hezbollah is evidence of that. Even sitting in Chicago with no access to confidential information, I know that it is not as simply as the head of Syria making a phone call to end the violence. Heck, the Lebanese government is not even strong enough to oppose Hezbollah militarily and it would be damn near impossible to tell them what to do without international backing. But you know, this is the type of language and view his supporters find comforting. Ah, the joys of ignorance.
