Michael Richards stunned a comedy club audience, shouting racial epithets at people who heckled him during a stand-up routine. Apparently, some black people were heckling him during his show. Fancy Black folks doing. You can catch the video (of course, there’s a video) here. Here’s a sampling of what he said.
”Shut up! Fifty years ago we’d have you upside down with a f—— fork up your a–.”
“You can talk, you can talk, you’re brave now motherf**ker. Throw his ass out. He’s a nigger! He’s a nigger! He’s a nigger! A nigger, look, there’s a nigger!”
“They’re going to arrest me for calling a black man a nigger.”
The State Of . . . Seinfeld Alums has been dire since the show ended, but not this dire. Several people in the audience were shocked and one guy yelled back that the N-word was “uncalled for.” Personally, I (rich) feel bad for the guy. It’s obvious that his carrer has been in the tubes since Seinfeld went off. If he was a good comic, he would have dealt with them the way good comics do. Not by stooping to that level.
