John Legend has a new album out. I heard one of the songs, “Public Displays of Affection,” on the way to work the other day. Like almost all of his music, it was HOT. I normally don’t like listening to men sing, but Legend’s got some good product; his first album was excellent; this new one, “Once Again,” is getting good reviews. But onto the subject: Are public displays of affection cool?
I went to a Dodger game a few months ago and young Latino couple in front of me must’ve french kissed 7 out of the 9 innings of the game! Now that’s stamina. They would kiss for 5 minutes, stare at each other for 3, and then get right back to kissing. I didn’t really have a problem with it; I was actually amazed that their breath wasn’t stinking more than anything else. (smile) As one of my Latino homies tells me, “We Latinos love haaaaard!”
Now, as far as the more “intimate” and “revealing” PDAs, that’s cool too. Because I remember one time in Paris . . .
