From the New York Times:“The number of detainees held by the American-led military coalition in Iraq has swelled by 50 percent under the troop increase ordered by President Bush, with the inmate population growing from 16,000 in February to 24,500 today, according to American military officers in Iraq.”
TheStateOf . . . 24,500. To give you some perspective, most large, federal medium-security prisons hold about 3,000 to 3,500 prisoners. I (J) guess we’e just going to do them like the Native Americans and the Palestinians - just wipe ‘em off the earth.
