Gore Wins Nobel Prize

Gore always looks like he needs to take a shit.

“Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Friday for their efforts to spread awareness of man-made climate change and lay the foundations for counteracting it.

“Environmentalists hope the win will eliminate any remaining doubts about their campaign. And in the background lurks a tantalizing question: will it influence the chances of Gore running for U.S. president in 2008 — which he has so far said he does not plan to do?

“I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize,” Gore said. “We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity.”

TheStateOf . . . Gore and “Climate Change.” Congrats to Mr. Gore, but I (J) don’t think he should run for President. He’s done much better as a gadfly. Running for office ruins good people, kinda like Sen. Obama. I’m not totally sold on global warming. It makes sense that paving over the earth has affected the climate, but I’m skeptical of these celeb-supported “crises.”
