Is it just me or is the link not working?

Also, after posting a comment how do I return to the homepage without using backspace or scrolling to the top and clicking on home?

    peace

  2. Pres,

Well if clicking “home” is too easy for you, I suppose you could reboot your computer, start up your web browser, and then type in http://www.thestateof.com to get back to the homepage.

Try the link again. It worked when I pressed it.

  3. There is something amiss with the link. For me it will go to the TSO archived page in question and then bounce right back to today’s home page. Granted I am on a computer at work, I don’t think Pres’ concern is an isolated one.

For the record, I too have fatigued greatly scrolling up to click “home” on the new TSO…(Heh hee!)

  4. Ditto JP.
The link takes you to the requested page for a few seconds and then bounces back to the home page.

  5. Pres,

I am sorry. Please pardon me. It takes you back to the new site because we put a command in the old template to take anyone looking for the old site to the new site. I replaced the link with a link to the story on the new site. All of our old posts can be found in the archive section to the left or by searching for it in the search box at the top.

As for getting back to our homepage, there’s no fix for that. Maybe try using the “home” key on your keyboard to quickly bring you back to the top of the page where you can then click the “home” tab.

  6. TSO.

I don’t go back to teh old blog. When I click on ’siubmit comment’, the page is upated with the comment.

Then I have to scroll to the top and click on ‘home’ to return to the homepage. Not a problem but with the old blog it automatically returned to the hompage.

    peace

  7. Worked fine for me, but then I benefitted from everyone else complaining about it already. J, glad you didn’t get arrested or beat down by the big, black Negro security guard.

They put a museum next door, huh? I wondered if they still rented rooms there or if it was just a place of interest now?

  8. Cj,

They don’t rent rooms there anymore. At one point there was a former tenant of the hotel camped out across the street. She was, and probably still is, protesting her eviction. She felt that King would have wanted the hotel to be used to house people instead. I can’t recall if she is still there.

  9. I was privileged enough during my college years to get to Memphis and stand at that very spot for which the photo has become famous. I highly recommend it to anyone who strolls the “Making Easy Money…” M.E.M.P.H.I.S.

    SDIC

  10. J, I too have stood on that balcony (legally) and it is moving.

But why did it have to be “big, black security guard”. Couldn’t he have just been a security guard? Or, a brotha in a security guard uniform? Talk about stereotypes.

I picture this huge, really dark, bald head brother with a goatee, king kong looking, ape, slave looking nigga about to roll you up……LOL

  11. Good job, J.

    Hop that fence!

  12. Some great documentaries about King on the tube over the wekend .
