I (J) am quite upset with a number of you for watching The Wire for so many years and not telling me that I needed to be watching that show. Ike’s Mama and I have been burning up Netflix watching The Wire over the last month. Netflix is the shiat! I’m now mid-way through Season 2, so don’t ruin it for me. Stringer Bell was my idol, but after messin’ with D’angelo’s baby mama - yikes! Foul! (Not that she wasn’t hot though.) And how they gonna kill my man D’angelo!?

This was the greatest show on TV. It slowed a bit in season 3, but 4 and 5 more than make up for it. Hold tight for some good storytelling!

J - I don’t know how you made it all these years w/no mentions of The Wire. I don’t buy it. No homies, no colleagues, no barbershop talk, no get together chit chat, no fam reunion, nothing?? Did your brother watch it? DV definitely shoulda put you up on it.

I heard people mentioning it and I watched one episode. But I didn’t have any context, so I couldn’t get into it. Plus, I’m cheap, so I had canceled HBO for a while.
Couple this:

And gotta be pretty cheap to cancel HBO to save $12 per month. The Wire alone was worth $3 per episode.

I feel you Big J. I didn’t get into it either until I rented from Netflix. I finished the first 3 Seasons so far. Out of the 3, it was my least favorite. But I hearf 4 and 5 were the shiet.
