The Dangers Of High Fructose Corn Syrup

HFCS high fructose corn syrup is responsible for a dangerous epidemic of obesity and diabetes. People under the age of 45 are “children of the corn.” Like Stephen King’s thriller, they are reaping the consequences of the food industry’s high fructose corn syrup. They were children or young adults in the late 70s, 80s and 90s when high fructose corn syrup was introduced to the American food supply as a cheap replacement for sugar. Now many of them are struggling with an epidemic of obesity and diabetes, also being referred to as diabesity.

“The average weight of American women (164 pounds) and men (191 pounds) has increased 25 pounds since 1960. We are the fattest people on earth, thanks to Coke, Pepsi and ADM - Archer Daniels Midland - the largest producer of HFCS.

  1. I’m actually doing my best to eliminate HFCS from my diet as well as my sons’ diets.

  3. Forgive me father for I have sinned. :-)

There is this new Peach Lemonade by Tropicana (I think) that I’m sure is filled with HCFS but its soooooo good and I’ve been drinking it way too much lately.

“Juice” is a huge source of unnecessary garbage.

  4. Red Bull = No HCFS

  5. Good to know TG. I enjoy a Red Bull every now and again.

  6. Love me some cookies. And lately chocolate. Gotta stop. But I’m keeping my beer.
