  1. These studies really bug me. They only take one factor and extrapolate the results into some far-reaching assumptions.

This reminds me of an article which stated that men who had waists sizes of 40 and over were at risk for health problems. I don’t think that they took into consideration that men have different bone structures and some bellies are solid not fat.

  2. Seems silly to me…

  3. that’s good for me since I have a 23 inch waist and 42 inch hips!

  4. That’s good for me since I have lots of sub- cutaneous fat.

23 inch waist and 42 inch hips!

I might have to agree with you on this one Roderick. Maybe it’s just me but are there more and more studies coming out now than 5 or 10 years ago? Also don’t some studies contradict others? One week you’ll read that a cup of coffee prevents XXX disease but in a month you’ll read that coffee has been linked to XXX disease.

  6. This seems to contradict numerous other reports (and my own personal experience with family members) that the bigger you are (including your a$$), the more likely you are to get diabetes.

  7. LLr, the results depend on who is funding the study.

  8. Actually Earl, scrolling through my mental rolodex, everyone I know with diabetes has a flat ass. LOL!

  9. 23 inch waist and 42 inch hips - is that even possible?
You must attract a lot of stares…

I dunno about this “study.” My best plan for avoiding diabetes is hitting the gym and eatin’ right. As a man, I’m not really concerned about the shape of my ass. :-)

  10. Couldn’t you find a picture of a more….ample booty?

Seems like you would have had to try harder to find a flat booty black chick than one with curves.

  11. No, don’t really attract stares, 42 inches isn’t really that big.
Pretty easy to cover up, unless of course you wear hoochie clothes!

  12. A beautiful, full booty is something to be proud of…where I am coming from with “FourPacksForOggies” is that the visceral fat, the fat that grows deep into internal organs is bad…if you can keep a defined waist, i.e. see the outlines of the rectus abdominus muscles, you are going to be healthier….the picture you posted above is beautiful…the question is is how representative is it…the only known way to decrease belly fat is to lower your overall fat…no such thing as spot fat removal…4pack
