Edwards to Endorse Obama

Carolina boy John Edwards will endorse Barrack Obama tonight in Michigan.

Mr. Obama’s campaign is hoping it will be taken as the start of a partywide coalescence around Mr. Obama as the Democratic nominee.

The endorsement ended months of speculation over Mr. Edwards’s preference in the Democratic nominating contest, during which he mostly stayed silent and close to home in Chapel Hill with his wife, Elizabeth.

The State Of . . . Election ‘08. What in the world took him so long. Anyone could have told you months ago he was not likely to endorse Clinton (the face of the establishment). I (rich) heard that Johnny boy though Barry was a little arrogant and kinda blew their first meeting after Edwards dropped out. Oh, if I had a dollar every time somebody thought I was arrogant. Or for every time I heard someone say any of my brothers (Morehouse or not) who have good self esteem called arrogant.

    Edwards endorsing Obama is like Kwame Brown voting Kobe MVP after the season is done. WTF? Edwards can’t hold Barack’s jock. Edwards is irrelevant. He never built a campaign. Gore is equally irrelevant.

    Yeah wait until he almost has it wrapped up and then endorse him. I know Edwards doesn’t think that he can get to be VP again. He didn’t even help Kerry carry NC in 2004.

    On Larry King (before the endorsement) he already stated he was not interested in the VP position. Some think it will narrow the gap with the “blue-collar white voters”. We’ll see…

    Nothing wrong with Edwards endorsing Obama at this point. C’mon y’all use ya heads, the brother needs ALL of the help he can get.

    Makes it less likely that Al Gore can sneak in at a brokered convention.
